Withdrawal from College Courses

Students who plan to withdraw from a class must meet with the counselor and advisor before making any changes. Any schedule changes must be approved by the Middle College counselor. Students must complete an add/drop form (provided by Middle College) and submit it to the Middle College counselor. If approved, students are responsible for dropping the course in their WebSmart account.

Any student who withdraws from a college course and is enrolled in fewer than 6 college units for the semester will be placed on Middle College academic probation/contract.

Any student who has more than one withdrawal in a single semester or multiple withdrawals in different semesters AND results in a student taking under six college units in a semester will be referred to alternative pathways to graduation, which may include returning to homesite, being referred to our continuation high school, and/or may not participate in the Middle College graduation ceremony and senior celebration activities.
