Long-Term Planning

Students enrolling in the Middle College program should plan a program of study that meets their educational and professional goals. Their objective may be to remain at the College of San Mateo, to transfer to a four-year college or university, or to attend a four-year college or university directly. On the other hand, the student’s objective may be to enter an occupational field after becoming qualified through one of numerous Associate of Arts/Science degree programs or through one of several certificate programs.

Students should consult with a Middle College staff member(s) to determine which courses will satisfy UC/CSU General Education requirements, which courses may lead to an A.A. or A.S. degree, and which courses are transferable to another college or university.
