Information for 10th Graders

10th graders: Are you interested in getting a head start on college courses and saving money on your future college expenses? Middle College is an alternative education program in the seven-school San Mateo Union High School District (SMUHSD) that allows students to earn college units while meeting their high school diploma requirements. This great program is on the beautiful campus of the College of San Mateo.

2025 Key Dates

Save the dates for these upcoming events related to 2025-2026 Enrollment in Middle College:

Monday, January 13: 10th Graders at Aragon, Burlingame, Hillsdale, Mills, and San Mateo will hear a presentation during their PE Class.

Wednesday, January 15:  10th Graders at Capuchino will hear a presentation during an Assembly. 

Thursday, January 16 - Friday, February 28: 2025-2026 Application Period

Wednesday, January 22, 6 - 7 p.m.: Virtual Info Session for Students and Parents/Guardians. Information about this session will be sent to all 10th Grade Students/Families in early January. 

Monday, January 27 - Thursday, January 30: Shadow a current Middle College Student. A link to sign-up to shadow will be available on the afternoon of January 15. Space is limited. 

Week of March 24: Students will be notified of the status of their application.
